In regards to the torture report that was released on Dec 9 2014.
I think there are many issues here. One is the issue of torture itself. I believe it is wrong. The other issue I want to address is how the CIA lied to its superiors about the effectiveness and tactics involved. You can NOT do this!!! The CIA has gone way beyond what it was charged with doing. By its on admission the CIA has stated that the tactics were NOT effective and yet still kept doing it. Hiding the facts from Colin Powell and the President. I almost cried when I heard this. There MUST be some justice here. The CIA has put us ALL in grave danger by their actions. They are loose cannons and cant not be described in any other terms. They are completely out of control.  There will be adverse consequences for the U.S by releasing this report, but I think in the big picture it needed to come out. The CIA MUST be held accountable for lying to it's superiors. Something needs to change. The true extent of the damage has yet to be revealed. If the public starts to get used to the idea of a rogue agency doing what ever it wants to then we ARE doomed. I, myself, am OUTRAGED by this. I hope you are too.
